a quick 'about me'

I live and work in Brooklyn, NY, my hometown and favorite place. I work primarily as a residential and commercial construction project manager. I especially enjoy restoring Brooklyn's historical brownstone homes and building the cafés and similar spaces where Brooklynites gather. Building is one of the many ways in which I get to contribute to my community.

When the construction day is done, I build websites for Brooklyn-based businesses. Prior to my career in construction, I worked for equally as long as a programmer, website developer and Linux admin. Before that, and before the Internet became a thing, I studied and worked as a graphic designer in the printing industry.

I've never actually stopped doing any of these things; I've just added one skillset onto the next. Not one for sleep, when I'm not building or programming, I am filling the remaining hours with parenting, writing, inventing and engineering new things; fixing broken ones, and otherwise perpetually learning, making and creating.

I've long sought a centralized place to document and to share my career experiences, day-to-day discoveries, creations and thoughts on a range of professional, technical, creative, social and personal topics. Welcome to that place. If you are seeking a construction manager for your project or help building a powerful web presence, reach out to me. Thank you for visiting.
